1. 从机场到学校Local Travel Information
乘长沙黄花机场巴士至常德市（常德民航大厦）约90元（人民币，下同）；乘出租车从长沙黄花机场至湖南文理学院，约400元.
By bus: Shuttle Buses from Huanghua Airport to Changde downtown (Civil Aviation Building): 90 RMB yuan; From Huanghua Airport to Hunan University of Arts and Science by taxi: about 400 RMB yuan.
2. 报到注册地点、办公时间Registration place and office hours
留学生新生报到地点place for registration：湖南省常德市武陵区洞庭大道3150号东附楼C306室，电话: +86-736-7186501.
Room C306 Dongfu Building, No.3150 Dongting Ave.Changde, Hunan. Phone: +86-736-7186501.
办公时间：星期一至星期五, 8:00-11:40, 14:30-17:30
Office hours: 8:00-11:40, 14:30-17:30, Monday to Friday.
3. 留学生宿舍International Students' Apartments
湖南文理学院校内设有留学生宿舍，可安排所有留学生住宿。宿舍分双人间、四人间。学校统一安排住宿。宿舍内提供家具（含单人床、书桌、单椅、衣橱等）及家电（电视、洗衣机、空调等）。宿舍内配有公用厨房(配有微波炉和电磁炉)。
There are International Students' Apartments for all the students in Hunan University of Arts and Science. The International Students' Apartments have double rooms and quad rooms. Apartments will be arranged uniformly according to individual needs. Furniture (including single bed, desk, chair, closet, etc) and home appliances (including TV, washing machine and air conditioner, etc) will be provided. The Overseas Students' Apartments are equipped with communal kitchen (including microwave and oven).
4. 入学流程Entry Process
（1）外国留学生凭录取通知书和签证申请表（JW202）原件到留学生办公室办理报到手续以及在区公安局进行临时住宿登记（到校后24小时内），报到时需提供护照原件。
International students should go to local police station for lodging registration no later than 24 hours upon arrival. Original documents of Admission Notice, Visa Application for Study in China (JW202), and passport should be presented for registration in the international exchange office.
（2）填写《外国人签证证件申请表》；
Fill in the "Application for a Chinese Visa or Residence Permit".
（3）持宿舍分配信息到留学生宿舍传达室办理入住手续；
Check in the reception office of Overseas Students' Apartments with the dormitory assignment information.
（4）奖学金生需到银行开户。
Scholarship students need to open an account at local Bank.
（5）留学生在本地体检中心体检。
Students do body check at local physical examination center.
（6）自费留学生须向学校财务处交清学费等费用。
Self-funded students should make the payment of tuition fee and other payment to Finance Department.
5. 办理签证（居留许可）手续Visa（Resident Permit）application
（1）新生从入境之日算起，30天内，必须向常德市公安局申请签证(《外国人居留许可》)，签证过期造成非法居留者，将按照《中华人民共和国外国人出入境管理法》相关规定，进行处罚。
New students, within 30 days of entry into China, must apply for a visa（"Foreigner Residence Permit"）at the Public Security Bureau ofChangde. It is illegal for international students to live in China with expired visas, which will result in penalties according to the regulation of "Foreigners of Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China".
申请《外国人居留许可》须提交《外国人体格检查记录》原件与检查项目报告原件，体格检查项目不全或无体检材料者，须重新接受体格检查并按有关规定缴纳体检费。
Health Certificates should be presented when applying for a visa（"Foreigner Residence Permit"）. New students should hand in the original "Physical Examination Record for Foreigner" and original reports of checked items. Those who do not hand in the physical examination materials or whose materials are incomplete should take the medical examination again and pay the associated fees according to the Regulations.
（2）凡查有精神病、开放性肺结核等传染病的患者，不能获得健康证书，将作自动退学处理并限期离华。
Foreigners suffering from mental disorders, open pulmonary tuberculosis or other infectious diseases will NOT get Health Certificates, hereby be regarded as automatic withdrawals and will be required to leave China.
（3）自费留学生必须向学校财务处交清所有费用方可办理签证手续。
Self-funded students cannot extend their visas until all the expenses have been paid to the finance department.
（4）学校将统一组织新生到常德市公安局办理签证手续，签证费留学生自理。
Our university will arrange students to extend visas together at the Changde Municipal Public Security Bureau. Students pay Visa fees.
